  • Crab bay is a nature reserve with many sea turtles and a calm anchorage.  You come in the bay through a pass through the coral and it’s very well protected.  The beach is rough sand and coral.  There is a “Yacht Club” that appears to have been abandoned years ago.  Just inland from the shore is a dirt road that makes a very pleasant walk.  If you go south on the road, you can get to a beach where the boat Tantrum is shipwrecked.  The mast and rudder are out on the reef.  The reef is mostly out of water at low tide, making for awesome tide pools with octopi and eels.  The bay can get murky, but when new water is coming in (rising tide) there is a nice coral reef  opposite the shore.
